Samsung Viet Nam officially launched STEM Classes at Thai Nguyen and Bac Ninh Samsung Hope School in a modern, child-friendly open space model to meet the needs of learning and practicing STEM.
The first STEM education model (interdisciplinary education method: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) introduced in provinces with a total investment of VND2 billion (US$86,425), with the hope of contributing to the digital shift of Viet Nam education in line with the Samsung's global corporate social responsibility (CSR) vision, “Enabling People, Education for the future generation”.
With diverse and plentiful contents, Samsung's advanced technology equipment including smart interactive boards, tablets, STEM Lego Robotics and 3D Printing along with the training programmes for human resources, STEM classes desire to spread the STEM education method in the community and help Vietnamese students confidently approach this modern educational playground.
Continuing the space for Children's Technology - S.hub Kids at General Science Library in HCM City, in the creative space of STEM classes, students will have the opportunity to express their aptitude, develop logical thinking and improve their learning performance.
Speaking at the awarding ceremony, Choi Joo Ho, President of Samsung Việt Nam, said: “The pace of development of a country depends not only on the development speed of the economy and science-technology but also on the pace of development in education and training.
"Therefore, education in the fourth industrial revolution needs to be prioritised, and the investment in STEM education will spread awareness in the community as well as bringing STEM closer to more students across Vietnamese provinces.” — VNS
