Sakuko Vietnam has received certificates to become an exclusive distributor of 25 cosmetic brands from Japan.

The idea is to provide Vietnamese consumers with more than 2,000 quality and safe Japanese cosmetic products.

The company started its cosmetics business in the beginning of 2017, selling over 1,000 beauty care products imported from Japan at its chain of 14 Sakuko Japanese stores around Ha Noi.

“We have gained initial success. The sale of cosmetic products across our chain in the first quarter of this year grew by 1.5 times compared to the same period last year,” Sakuko Vietnam said in a statement.

The untapped potential of this business segment in the market has encouraged us to become the sole distributor of 25 Japanese cosmetic brands, the company said.

Its two-day event to introduce these brands in Aeon Mall Ha Noi in Long Bien District earlier this month attracted over 10,000 visitors.

Japan’s Sakuko Vietnam, earlier known as Sakura Vietnam, entered the Vietnamese market in September 2011 with the goal of becoming a leading provider of Japanese goods in Viet Nam. It operates a convenience store chain of the same name.

Besides consumer goods and cosmetics, the enterprise has also operated in hotel, construction and logistics industries. — VNS
