The Saigon Union of Trading Co-operatives (Saigon Co.op), Viet Nam’s leading retailer, on October 25 received ISO 9001:2015 quality certification from QMS Certification Services.
The certification, the latest version of ISO 9001, helps businesses improve by maintaining a quality management system and improving the quality of their services and products.
Saigon Co.op received ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2004.
To achieve reaccreditation, the co-operative successfully demonstrated its processes to an independent external auditor who had to certify they are being executed based on documented policies and rigorous standards.
The 28-year-old retailer runs 89 Co.opmart supermarkets, over 170 Co.op Food convenience stores, two Co.opXtra hypermarkets, more than 65 Co.op Smile modern grocery stores, three Sense City department stores, the SC Vivo City complex in HCM City and HTV Co.op TV shopping channel. — VNS
