Saigon Co.op on November 25 opened its first two Co.op Food convenience stores in Ha Noi to take the total number of stores to 181.
Co.op Food Hapulico is located on Nguyen Huy Tuong Street, Thanh Xuan District, and Co.op Food Bac Ha on To Huu Street in Nam Tu Liem District.
They each stock around 4,000 essential goods and fresh foods.
Besides familiar Ha Noi specialities such as Bao Minh young rice cake and Hoa Lam sweets, the two stores also sell regional specialties from elsewhere like Nam Roi pomelo, green-skin grapefruit and coconut candy from Ban Tre, Ninh Thuan seedless grapes, Phan Thiet dragon fruit, Da Lat lapa banana, Soc Trang peeling flakes pastry, and sweet tangerine and orange from the Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta.
The stores offer telephone orders and home delivery and the same bonus points as when they shop at Co.opmart.
To mark the opening they are offering discounts of up to 49 per cent on a number of products together with surprise gifts.
Also on the same day, Saigon Co.op organised a Co.op Organic Cooking Show at the Youth Cultural House in HCM City’s District 1 to promote Co.op Organic branded products meeting US and EU organic standards and to help customers understand about the health benefits of organic products. — VNS
