Sacombank is implementing a programme called ‘Quet QR – Thanh toan tha ga’ (Scan QR code – Make unlimited payment) from August 22 to October 22 this year with many incentives on fees and cash giveaways for merchants who accept and encourage customers to make payments via the VietQR code on the Sacombank Pay application.

The promotion has a total value of nearly VND500 million.

To instantly get a VietQR code to receive money from the sender, merchants only need to download the Sacombank Pay app in their mobile phones and open a payment account with their own preferred numbers in it.

The first 4,000 shops and business households to open a payment account in Sacombank Pay and receive payment with a VietQR code (of VND200,000 or more) will be given VND100,000.

The three merchants with the highest transaction value through VietQR codes during the programme period (minimum VND30 million) will receive VND7.9 million.

The payment service via VietQR code offers exceptional convenience to shoppers and other users as they do no need to remember and enter account numbers when transacting, but can still easily transfer money/make payments with just a few simple steps.

To make payment or transfer money, customers just need to open the Sacombank Pay application, select the QR Code icon, scan the beneficiary's VietQR code, enter the amount and interpretation (if any), and verify the transaction to complete.

Besides, they will also enjoy many benefits when having a payment account in the app, including waiver of fees for account management, cash withdrawal using QR code at Sacombank ATMs, money transfer, and notification via Sacombank Pay.

They will get up to 0.5 percentage points higher interest on deposits than at the counter, can self-manage their cards and accounts, book hotel rooms and air/car/train tickets, buy movie tickets, pay bills, and recharge phones without needing anyone's help. — VNS
