Sacombank and local authorities joined hands to give gifts worth a total of over VND5 billion (US$215,903) to disadvantaged people around the country to help them have a happy Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday.
It was part of Sacombank’s 16th Warm Spring programme, which ran until Sunday during which its management and staff visited and given gifts to older people, orphans, Agent Orange victims, and disabled children at nearly 100 schools, shelters, orphanages, open houses and poor households.
It is an annual activity to bring New Year cheer to disadvantaged people.
Over the last 16 years, the lender has spent more than VND56 billion ($2.41 million) on the programme. — VNS
