In the second lucky draw for its promotion programme “Only VND20,000 – Win 24k gold” held on October 3 by Sacombank, 60 customers each won one tenth of a tael of 24k gold.

The bank is running the promotion from June 3 to September 30 for all customers who have Sacombank Visa cards or Sacombank Pay accounts and carry out a first contactless payment transaction or QR code payment worth at least VND20,000.

They were each refunded VND20,000 (each card is eligible for the refund only once) and got a lucky draw code to win the 24K gold prizes totally worth nearly VND3 billion (US$129,100).

The draw was held in the presence of an official from the city Department of Industry and Trade, customers and the media.

For contactless payment, customers only need to touch or lightly wave their cards around POS machines with NFC (near-field communication) technology for a second or two to complete the transaction, and do not need to sign bills of VND1 million or less in the case of international cards.

For QR payment, customers should download the Sacombank Pay app from Google Play or App Store for free on their mobile devices, add their card information and use their devices to scan QR codes at accepting units to make payments instead of using cards.

Sacombank Pay's financial management app also offers many interesting features such as linking up with domestic and international cards issued by all banks, allowing deposit / transfer of money, withdrawing cash without using a card, transferring money to any recipient through the account, card, mobile phone number, or personal QR code, enabling cards and accounts management, making bill payments, and others.
