HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Visitors and residents of Da Nang can enjoy Viet Nam's longest lantern road, highlighting Asian cultures at Asia Park in the centre of Da Nang City, during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Under the theme "Amazing Asia," the lantern road features 3,000 lanterns stretching across four areas to represent the unique cultures of Singapore, Indonesia, Japan and Viet Nam.
The central area exhibits traditional Vietnamese lamps. Made of local paper and bamboo frames, the Hoi An lanterns represent central Viet Nam as a symbol of luck, based on a 500-year history. Meanwhile, the traditional star lantern represents the north of the country, symbolising the full moon and the brilliant night of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Indonesian lanterns, coloured black and white, feature fine details.
The Japanese lanterns are decorated with soft colors and sophisticated artwork.
Meanwhile, the flaming red lanterns from the lion country of Singapore is the highlight of the road.
Visitors will also enter a fairytale world filled with cartoon characters, including
A sweet bunny
Playful dolphins
Cute moons
From August 29 to September 27, tourists and residents can learn about the cultures of Korea, Japan, Thailand, India and China through the presentation of traditional costumes on weekdays and traditional music on the weekend.
Asia Park will organise a moon cake baking event during this time as well.
Discounts on park services will also be available for the occasion.— VNS
