The Prosperity and Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (PGBank – stock code: PGB) has officially appointed Nguyễn Văn Hương as its new Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Speaking at the appointment ceremony, Hương expressed his gratitude to PGBank’s leaders for trusting him for the new position.
"It’s my great honour to join PGBank, a potential bank with more than 30 years of tradition," Hương said.
"I am looking forward to the full support of PGBank’s leaders and the dedication of every employee. I hereby commit to PGBank’s shareholders, and leaders that the Board of Management and I will do our best to realise the set business plan, and together build a more stable, sustainable brand that positively contributes to the community.”
Hương, born in 1980, has more than 21 years of experience in the finance and banking industry. He graduated from Hanoi National Economics University, Bachelor of Investment Economics and Master of Business Administration.
During his career, he has held many positions from credit officer to corporate and individual customer management, as well as important sales channel management at large state-owned and joint stock banks such as Vietcombank and VPBank and most recently he held the position of OCB Deputy CEO.
His competence and experience have been repeatedly affirmed through many certificates of contributions and outstanding achievements at the organisations he has worked for.
The Prosperity and Development Commercial Joint Stock Bank, formerly Dong Thap Muoi Rural Commercial Joint Stock Bank, was established on 13th November 1993.
It has more than 82 branches and transaction offices with nearly 2,000 employees across the country and serves a variety of financial products for corporate and individual customers. — VNS
