Panasonic Vietnam on Wednesday awarded scholarships to 20 excellent students across the country, bringing the total students granted scholarship to more than 150 with a total value of nearly VND54 billion over the past 19 years.
“We set human resources as the core competence, for both company growth and the sustainable development of society. We wish to inspire the future generations of Viet Nam to join us in the journey for a brighter Viet Nam future. This is the reason why we continue the Panasonic Scholarship programme while generating new values for participating students each year,” said Marukawa Yoichi, general director of Panasonic Vietnam.
The scholarship 2022 offers talented students with financial support of VND30 million for one school year. Within the programme, students can participate in various training sessions to improve their soft skills such as communications, time management and critical thinking.
In addition, Panasonic will also offer practical opportunities to experience a professional working environment and new technology through an internship at Panasonic Vietnam Group companies.
“Besides financial aid to help me pay for my studies and register for professional courses, I will take advantage of this support to develop my cherished project about a water supply system that applies technological techniques to rural areas, and contributes to building a sustainable Viet Nam,” said Nguyen Thai Tam, a student of Can Tho University.
Panasonic also carries out many other education and environment activities in Viet Nam, such as the “Panasonic Sustainable School”, the Panasonic Risupia Centre Vietnam, along with many classes that deliver knowledge on environmental protection, climate change and sustainable development to students across Viet Nam. — VNS
