Panasonic Vietnam presented scholarships to 15 excellent students studying full time at universities across the country as part of the Panasonic Scholarship 2021 on April 14.
After 18 years of implementation, the Panasonic Scholarship’s total value has reached more than VND53 billion (more than US$2.3 million), benefiting thousands of students in Viet Nam.
“We want to contribute to developing talents for Viet Nam, especially the future generations. It is the main reason that we have organised the Panasonic Scholarship Programme since 2004 as an annual programme to realise this vision,” said Marukawa Yoichi, General Director of Panasonic Vietnam.
The Panasonic Scholarship 2021 provides each student with the financial support of VND30 million ($1,310) for one school year. The programme aims to support needy students who are constantly striving to improve themselves with outstanding academic performance and aspirations to contribute to the development of Viet Nam in the future.
Winning students are also provided with practical opportunities to experience the professional working environment and new technology through internships at Panasonic Vietnam Group companies.
Panasonic also offers various online training sessions to help students develop their soft skills in communication, problem-solving and time management.
"Through the scholarship programme of Panasonic, I believe that our students - the future talents of Viet Nam - will always be inspired to overcome difficulties and continue achieving their dream to contribute positive values to society," said Tran Viet Toan, deputy head of the Student - Political Affairs Department at Ho Chi Minh City University of Science and Technology. — VNS
