In the past three years, the number of buyers and Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) of the Printing and Packaging industry on Alibaba.com has maintained a steady growth trend, opening new opportunities for Vietnamese businesses.
According to a report by the Alibaba.com category manager, customers are mainly from the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, and the Philippines.
Alibaba.com, one of the leading platforms for global business-to-business (B2B) commerce, was present at the International Printing Exhibition, Vietnam Food Packaging and Processing 2022 (VIETNAMPRINTPACK 2022) held last week in HCM City.
Within the spectrum of activities supporting Vietnamese businesses at international exhibitions held directly, this is the first time participating in the International Exhibition of Printing, Packaging, and Food Processing Vietnam, Alibaba.com Vietnam organised a series of activities to support Vietnamese businesses to access digital transformation solutions designed exclusively for Vietnamese sellers from Alibaba.com.
Consultants from Alibaba.com joined the chat and consulted directly with businesses to share online commerce solutions.

Within the framework of the exhibition, Alibaba.com organised a series of four events/day sharing on the topic of e-commerce solutions. Especially, the official launch of the Verified Supplier membership package - Alibaba.com's latest product for the Vietnamese market.
Verified Supplier is Alibaba.com's membership tier for high-quality suppliers. Alibaba.com provides suppliers with on-site verification services from the third-party inspection company so that customers can put their trust in the brand.
Vu The Tung, Director of Business Development and Government Relations, Alibaba.com said: “Offering verified supplier membership package, we hope to make trust happen, as well as help generate more business leads.”
The packaging industry is entering a new challenging period with the penetration of global e-commerce accelerating, the growth rate of the e-commerce packaging market is expected to reach 14.8 per cent CAGR to reach US$60 billion by 2026. The demand for packaging by small and medium brands has created new requirements for packaging that needs to be smarter, and more convenient.
The demand from customers from the Alibaba.com platform shows that they focus on the following items: cartons, glass bottles, plastic bags, paper bags, and shipping packaging. There is high demand for the capacity to follow the environmental regulations, toward the goal of sustainable development and participation in the global supply chain. VNS
