OREO has launched a new cookie to celebrate its 110th anniversary of establishment.

OREO has launched a new cookie to celebrate its 110th anniversary of establishment.

The birthday cookie is its first with rainbow sprinkles and a vanilla flavour sandwiched between two chocolate layers.

It is being widely distributed through grocery stores, supermarkets and online platforms starting this month.

Besides, OREO has also tied up with famous cake brand TOUS les JOURS to launch a limited edition birthday cake that is being sold only in 32 stores around the country. It will be available until the end of June.

“Oreo is turning 110 years and is inviting fans across Vietnam to celebrate the birthday in its unique, playful way with a special new festive flavour,” Sameer Yadav, marketing director of Mondelez Kinh Do Vietnam, said.

“The Oreo 110 special edition has everything needed for a playful birthday party – cakes and candles and an AR experience inspired by the universal act of blowing out candles.”

The Southeast Asia-wide campaign will also give birthday ‘gifts’ to lucky OREO fans. Anyone who blows out all 110 candles within 15 seconds using OREO’s AR filter on Instagram will have the chance to win prizes such as an iPhone 13 Pro Max and an Instax mini 11.

Oreo is also giving away 416 Birthday Cookies OREO x TOUS LES JOURS to those who participate in the #blowthecandles challenge in Vietnam. The challenge ends on June 19. — VNS
