New bonded warehouse opened in Binh Duong

BINH DUONG (Biz Hub) — U&I Logistics Corporation, a subsidiary of Unigroup, on April 15 opened a new bonded warehouse at the Nam Tan Uyen Industrial Park in Binh Duong Province.

The 30,375sq.m facility is the company's seventh warehouse and takes its total space to over 178,851sq.m, one of the largest bonded warehouse systems in Viet Nam.

Nguyen Xuan Phuc, CEO of U&I Logistics Corporation, said its entire warehouse space is equipped with a multi-player racking system, giving it a total storage area of nearly 1.1 million square metres.

"To maintain clients' goods in the best condition possible, our warehouse system is also installed with automatic humidity and temperature control equipment. We also use information technology and barcode reading capacity in the inventory management system."

The company's development strategy envisages being a 3PL logistics services provider (providing complete logistics services) and moving towards becoming a 4PL provider (with the integration of more value-addition services to the supply chain) in the next 10 years, he said.
