Netflix has announced that on June 29 it will launch a new mobile plan in Viet Nam.

At VND70,000/month, members will be able to enjoy all the films and shows on Netflix — with no interruptions or ads — on one smartphone or tablet at a time. Members in Viet Nam will now have four plans to choose from, in addition to the existing Basic (VND180,000/month), Standard (VND220,000d/month) and Premium (260,000d/month).

With the Mobile plan, members in Viet Nam can enjoy Netflix’s entire local and international library of great Hollywood content like Stranger Things, Emily in Paris, The Witcher, fabulous Korean content like Vincenzo and Start Up, shows from Asia like Girl from Nowhere and The Yin-Yang Master: Dream of Eternity and Vietnamese titles such as Camellia Sisters and Sky Tour: The Movie, conveniently on their smartphones in Standard Definition (SD).

Close to 97 per cent of Internet users in Viet Nam own a smartphone and nearly 95 per cent of them access the Internet via their mobile devices, reflecting Viet Nam as a truly mobile-first country.

Netflix is the world's leading streaming entertainment service with 208 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, documentaries and feature films across a wide variety of genres and languages. — VNS
