Nestle Vietnam has been named in the list of ‘Outstanding Enterprises for Employees’ in 2022.

The list, drawn up by the Confederation of Labour in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, honours firms that strive to improve their working environment, take care of the physical and spiritual lives of employees, and build a healthy corporate culture towards sustainable development.

It is based on a rigorous set of criteria developed by labour experts, and this year had additional ones related to caring for and protecting workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Through multiple rounds of assessment, hundreds of enterprises were whittled down to 62.

Of them, the 28 outstanding ones received certificates of merit (at three levels).

Nestle is the only foreign company in the fast-moving consumer goods industry to find a place in the list this year. It is for the third time that Nestle has its name in the list.

Its human resources director, Truong Bich Dao, said: “For Nestle Vietnam, employees are the most valuable asset. That is why the company wants to ensure that every employee has the opportunity to contribute, grow and advance in career in the long term at Nestle. We motivate all employees and appreciate our employees' potential and values, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, nationality, religion, age, and other differences."

Also this month, the company was in the top three in the list of Top 100 Vietnam Best Places to Work 2022 based on a survey of more than 57,000 workers nation-wide by Anphabe and verified by market research firm Intage. — VNS
