Spanish laundry services start-up Mr Jeff has announced plans to license 30 franchisees this year with the first 15 to open in major cities and provinces like Ha Noi, HCM City, Hai Phong, Da Nang, and An Giang.
The announcement came soon after the company announced its franchising strategy for Asia, on which it said it is majorly focusing.
“The biggest advantage of our system is that it allows you to have a franchise with a low investment and that it has a profitable business model,’’ Julio Suero Rodriguez, the company’s head of Asia & Europe expansion, said.
Mr Jeff, accessible through its website and mobile application, provides laundry and dry cleaning services with both subscription plans and one-off order through its franchises.
Rodriguez said the idea of creating Mr Jeff was borne out of a necessity to find a solution to the washing chore.
“When we wash our clothes or when we take them to be washed and later go to pick them up, we lose a lot of time. For this reason, we aim to provide more personal time to the people living in big cities, an offer that has turned out to be especially attractive to young people.’
“Our research shows nearly 80 per cent of people identify doing laundry as their most hated domestic task.
“We are a technology company with a passion for problem solving. If laundry and dry cleaning is a problem, Mr Jeff is the solution.”
The start-up was founded in 2015 to offer a comfortable and fast laundry and dry-cleaning home delivery app in Valencia, Spain, by Eloi Gomez, Adrian Lorenzo and Ruben Muñoz, three Spanish entrepreneurs in their twenties.
It operates in more than 30 countries in Asia, Latin America, Africa, and Europe.
