Snack producer Mondelez Kinh Do said on Thursday it planned to double exports of mooncake to the US this year.

At an online press conference to announce plans for the mid-Autumn Festival, it said its mooncakes are exported to many markets including Singapore and Thailand, and this would be the 13th year of exports to the US.

In Viet Nam, they would be available at stores nation-wide as well as online, it said.

Nearly 80 kinds of products in many new flavours would be sold, it said.

To ensure availability, it has strengthened the distribution channel this year.

All its mooncakes are available early on e-commerce platforms like Lazada, Tiki and Shopee, and food delivery apps Grab, Gojek, and Baemin .

The company, part of Mondelēz International, has more than 3,000 employees at its head office in HCM City and two plants in Binh Duong and Hung Yen provinces. — VNS
