Mondelez Kinh Đô Vietnam was recently named among the "Top 50 Sustainable Development Enterprises in Vietnam 2024" for foreign-invested enterprises (FDI).

In its first appearance at this prestigious list, Mondelez Kinh Đô received recognition in two categories of leading the circular economy under the Social Responsibility category and excellence in corporate governance under the Corporate Governance category.

The 2024 Top 50 Corporate Sustainability Awards, held by Nhịp Cầu Đầu Tư Magazine, selected winners from three categories of enterprises: FDI, listed, and non-listed enterprises, with more than 200 companies participating in the competition. The award’s judging panel, comprising experts from reputable organisations and companies, evaluated and selected the enterprises based on four criteria: stable growth, sustainable corporate culture, corporate governance, environmental protection, and social responsibility.

The Top 50 CSA award recognises Mondelez Kinh Đô's persistent efforts in practicing sustainable development. As a member of Mondelēz International, Mondelez Kinh Đô is one of the leading food enterprises in Việt Nam. The company is committed to prioritising sustainability in all its operations.

“With a mission to lead the future of snacking by offering the right snack, for the right moment, made the right way, we prioritise environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations in our sustainability strategy. This recognition reaffirms our efforts to better serve consumers every day, aiming for sustainable business development in the Vietnamese market,” said Anil Viswanathan, managing director of Mondelez Kinh Đô Vietnam.

In leading the circular economy, the company has shown a strong commitment to sustainability, supporting recycling and circular practices throughout the supply chain through various initiatives and collaborations with a focus on the environment and packaging.

In the paper packaging ecosystem, the company has pioneered partnerships with major domestic recyclers and paper manufacturers to create a cycle of collection, recycling, and packaging production aimed at reducing environmental impact, raising consumer awareness about waste reduction, and conserving resources to promote circularity in Việt Nam's economy. Mondelez Kinh Đô is also leading the circular economy model in developing sustainable ingredients, helping to recycle food waste into valuable resources through investments in organic waste processing projects that turn waste into feed for free-range chickens, thereby creating long-term value for the business, environment, and society. — VNS
