Mondelēz International is committed to supporting organisations that are responding to food instability and emergency relief by making US$15 million in financial and in-kind donations through the Mondelēz International Foundation amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
In Viet Nam, since the onset of the COVID-19 outbreak, Mondelez Kinh Do Vietnam has donated more than 2,500 cases of products to healthcare workers and Government agencies to support COVID-19 relief and response efforts.
The products have been delivered to the Hung Yen Fatherland Front Committee, Binh Duong Preventive Medical Centre, Hospital for Tropical Diseases HCM City, and other organisations through AmCham’s activities in HCM City and Ha Noi.
Mondelez Kinh Do Vietnam's donation has contributed to promoting sustenance to the front liners, and expresses the corporation’s gratitude to their continuous COVID-19 fight.
A part of the supporting programme was also dedicated to volunteer blood donors, since donating blood is more important than ever in the time of the pandemic.
As concerns around the spread of the coronavirus continue to increase, Mondelez Kinh Do Vietnam also has continued to run its operations to ensure the supply of its essential food products to its customers at this challenging time.
In the meantime, protecting the health and safety of its employees, partners, and customers in close collaboration with global institutions and local health authorities are the top priorities of the company.
“As one of the leading food companies in Viet Nam, we play a critical role in safeguarding the country’s food supply. In the time of heightened need, we are working in close collaboration with customers and the local authorities to ensure that guidelines are followed and met for our production lines to remain operational. By doing that, our distribution networks continue to work efficiently, and consumers have access to foods on shelves,” said Hemant Rupani, managing director of Mondelez Kinh Do Vietnam.
Together with efforts to maintain production, distribution, and availability of its most loved brands such as Kinh Do, Cosy, Solite, AFC, LU, Oreo, Ritz and others, Mondelez Kinh Do Vietnam has successfully introduced the new product Fresh Pizza Bun in responding to the high demands of healthy and convenient food amid the outbreak. The new launch product has received a very positive response from consumers.
From the early time of the outbreak, the company has strictly applied regulations of directive 15/CT-TTG on quarantine and safety.
The company proactively organised to keep the plants and the daily operation teams running normally to ensure the continuous and smooth distribution of goods to consumer doorsteps under the massive social distancing situation. — VNS
