The The Gioi Di Dong (Mobile World) Joint Stock Company has opened its first non-stand-alone store in a Big C supermarket the southern province of Dong Nai hoping to take advantage of the existing infrastructure and customers.

DONG NAI (Biz Hub) — The The Gioi Di Dong (Mobile World) Joint Stock Company has opened its first non-stand-alone store in a Big C supermarket the southern province of Dong Nai hoping to take advantage of the existing infrastructure and customers.

On the opening day it achieved sales of VND91 million (US$4,300), or 91 per cent of it target. The retailer said it hopes to reach VND500 million ($24,000) within three days to achieve its target of VND3 billion ($143,000) a month.

It said the store targets middle-income customers.

Calling it a trial, it said if successful it will open at all Big C supermarkets nation-wide. — VNS
