HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Mercedes Trophy 2015 was held at Kings' Island Mountain View and Lakeside, with 36 holes of parkland-style golf, in the middle of June.
After the country final, seven finalists will represent Viet Nam at the Asian Final in Australia.
In its 14th season in Viet Nam, Mercedes Trophy sponsored more than 30 qualifying events and attracted nearly 6,000 golfers, including Mercedes-Benz owners. Two hundred outstanding golfers have been invited to compete in the national final. They have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to win a SLS AMG Coup as a hole-in-one prize. This is the largest-ever hole-in-one prize in the history of the tournament. Statistics say the possibility of a recreational golfer achieving a "hole-in-one" swing is only 1 in 12,500. Surprisingly, Vietnamese golfers have done quite well in the past.
Each year, more than 60,000 golfers from 60 countries converge at the world‘s most prestigious and largest corporate golf championship. Members from 32 golf courses in Viet Nam participated last year, with close to 5,000, including Mercedes-Benz owners, hunting for the hole-in-one prizes. — VNS
