Lotte Mart, P&G bring Tet cheer to poor

HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — South Korean supermarket chain Lotte Mart and US consumer goods company Procter & Gamble have given Tet gifts of some essential items to around 500 poor families to help them celebrate the Lunar New Year.

Between January 24 and February 5 they gave the gifts, each worth VND500,000 (US$23.45), to people in Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Phan Thiet, Da Nang, and HCM City.

Each package has things like fish sauce, rice, cooking oil, soft drinks, seasoning, shampoo, and others.

Lotte Mart and P&G are into the fifth year of the programme and have given gifts worth more than VND3 billion ($141,712) so far. — VNS
