Companies receive awards for the 100 Best Places to Work in Việt Nam in 2017 at a ceremony held in HCM City on March 22.

Lotte Mart has once again made it to the list of best employers in Việt Nam.

In the "100 Best Places to Work in Việt Nam in 2017" released by Anphabe in HCM City on March 22, LOTTE Mart beat competition from 600 enterprises in 25 different sectors to achieve 56th rank, 10 places up from 2016.

This also meant it retained its place in the Top 5 Employer Brands in the retail/wholesale/trading industry.

This is the third year in a row that LOTTE Mart has made it to this prestigious ranking, also climbing every year.

The annual Việt Nam Best Places to Work Survey measures the brand health of employers, and is done under the strict supervision of leading research firms.

Others making the cut include reputed companies like Unilever, KPMG, Samsung, FWD Insurance Vietnam, VietJet Air, Chubb Life, Green Feed, L'oreal and others.

This year’s survey, the biggest so far in terms of companies surveyed, collected feedback from 62,268 employees working in 25 different sectors.

Speaking at a ceremony held to give away awards to the companies making the list, Bui Thi Phi, LOTTE Mart Vietnam’s human resources director, said: “As one of the prestigious retailers in Việt Nam, besides business activities, LOTTE Mart also attaches great importance to developing and nurturing its human resources and considers them its biggest asset.

“At LOTTE Mart, besides ensuring compensation and welfare policies for our employees, the company’s management always strives to provide training to employees, organise activities for them to improve teamwork and provide a dynamic and creative working environment that enables our employees to maximise their potential.”

Last year LOTTE Mart had organised many job festivals and recruitment programmes to hire workers.

This year LOTTE Mart is adding new features to its training and recruitment policies and continues to improve its employee welfare policies, thereby improving its working environment and attracting more talent.

LOTTE Mart plans to organise a job fair at the Sheraton Hotel on April 7, and interested candidates can come and look for suitable job openings.

Last year it established “LOTTE-KOICA-IUH Service Training Centre, the country’s first retail industry training centre, in collaboration with the LOTTE Group.

The centre is expected to help improve human resource quality and ensure better quality of products and services for LOTTE customers, while also contributing to Việt Nam's socio-economic development.

Following its successes, LOTTE Mart will invest further in the comprehensive training and development of human resources and more actively attract and nurture talent to serve its target of becoming a leading retailer in Asia. — VNS
