Lock&Lock HCM Co, Ltd, in collaboration with the Vietnam Red Cross Society Central Committee’s representative agency in the south, has organised a programme to give gifts to disadvantaged families and ethnic minorities in Soc Trang Province as part of its "Let's Go Together" programme.

About 1,500 gifts, worth a total of over VND3 billion (US$129,449), consisted of pots, kettles, non-stick pans, food containers, water bottles, thermos, wooden tray sets, bowls, and plates. They were presented to households in Long Phu and My Tu districts.

In addition, Lock&Lock also gave gifts to over 300 poor and near-poor households and families in difficult circumstances in Hau Thanh, Long Duc and Hoa My communes in the province.

Drought and saltwater intrusion in the early months of the year have adversely affected agricultural production and the living conditions of people in the province.

Lock&Lock HCM Co, Ltd and the Vietnam Red Cross Society Central Committee’s representative agency plan to expand the ‘Let's Go Together’ programme to many more other provinces and cities to enable more families in difficult circumstances to receive support. — VNS
