Lazada Vietnam has launched a touch-free delivery solution to continue to offer consumers a safe shopping experience from home.

It comprises three steps: placing the order and making online payment, preparing the goods and delivery and actual delivery.

In the second step, the company’s logistics workers undergo daily temperature checks and a stringent sanitisation process, including wearing face masks, disinfecting their hands and going through a disinfection room before entering and leaving the warehouse and sorting centre.

Not only Lazada employees, but also sellers and partners who come to deliver goods at Lazada's sorting centre must go through the disinfection booth to ensure the parcels are disinfected.

Delivery workers are also required to undergo daily temperature check, wear face masks and sanitise their hands, and regularly clean their bikes and other delivery vehicles.

Lazada shoppers can also choose to pick up goods at 300 collection points in Ha Noi and HCM City located at convenience stores or use automated technology with iLogic SmartBox, which only requires a buyer to scan the QR code (received by email) or input their phone number and OTP (received by text message) to receive the parcel.

As of now there are 20 smart lockers in Ha Noi and HCM City, most of them at main shopping malls, large apartments and universities.

All customers with pre-paid orders can receive touch-free delivery, with the delivery staff calling customers to set an appointment and reminding them to bring their own pen.

Upon arrival at the delivery location, the delivery person places the order in a fixed location and then call the customer.

When the customer arrives, the delivery person maintains a safe distance from the customer of a minimum of two metres. — VNS
