Online shopping platform Lazada.vn on Thursday announced that it would cooperate with international and domestic fashion and cosmetic companies to become the leading fashion and cosmetic platform in Viet Nam.

The company said the market has a great deal of potential as many of its customers, most of whom are women, now care about these products.

Lazada cited a report from Q&ME which said that 73 per cent of customers shop online for fashion items.

To achieve its goal, the company on Thursday announced its partnership with the giant firm, Au Chau Fashion and Cosmetic Company Ltd (ACFC).

Accordingly, famous brands distributed by ACFC, including Calvin Klein Jeans, Calvin Klein Underwear, Levi’s, Dune and Diesel, will be sold on the online shopping platform.

Along with ACFC, the company will sign agreement contracts with other domestic and foreign fashion brands, according to Nguyen Thanh Thuy, a senior official of Lazada.

By 2020 the company targets becoming the first choice of customers who love fashion, she added.

On the occasion of its sixth anniversary in Việt Nam, the company is offering its customers many attractive promotion programmes from May 9 to 11, including smartphones such as the iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime at preferential prices.

Every month, Lazada attracts 30 million views. The website www.lazada.vn is a platform trading over 2 million products in 16 categories.

Flash sales will be also organised during this time.

Lazada, which was established in 2012 as a start-up, is now a leading online shopping platform in Southeast Asia with presence in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia and Viet Nam. — VNS
