Kredivo, Indonesia's leading digital credit platform and one of the most valuable fintech unicorns in Southeast Asia, operating in Viet Nam in partnership with VietCredit JSC, has become e-commerce platform Sendo's buy now, pay later (BNPL) service provider partner.
Sendo's customers can now checkout via Kredivo and pay for their purchase in 30 days at 0 per cent or over three, six or 12 months.
They can sign up through a mobile application and get VietCredit’s approval for a credit limit of up to VND25 million (US$1,073) almost in real time.
Krishnadas, senior vice president of business development at Kredivo, said, "Kredivo aims at solving customers' needs to access fast and affordable credit while also supporting merchants in driving higher gross merchandise value.
“We are delighted to partner with Sendo, one of the leading e-commerce sites in Viet Nam."
Ho Minh Tam, CEO of VietCredit Finance JSC, said: "BNPL is becoming a popular purchase method in Southeast Asia. In Viet Nam, the low credit card ownership rate will open up many opportunities for VietCredit when participating in this market.
“This is one of e-strategies VietCredit has deployed to solve the needs of the underbanked."
Nguyen Hoang Long, marketplace director at Sendo, said, "We are delighted to shake hands with a pioneer in Southeast Asia's digital payment industry like Kredivo as well as VietCredit to offer millions of Vietnamese customers and merchants a convenient and affordable choice of payment method."
Kredivo has been in Viet Nam since August 2021 through its partnership with VietCredit JSC, and gradually rolled out various products, including instalment payment for e-commerce purchases and personal loans. — VNS
