JupViec, a household service start-up connecting helpers and customers via a mobile phone app, has received strategic investment from Simple Tech Investment (STI Holdings).

The value of the investment was not disclosed.

The investment will help JupViec speed up the training of staff, increase service quality for customers, upgrade technology infrastructure to improve the experience for both households and employees.

The application will also expand into new services including viral disinfection, cleaning and ironing.

JupViec has been operating since 2012. It is the first company in the field of unskilled labour to receive investment from Japanese investment fund CyberAgent Ventures in 2016 and San Francisco-based investment fund Patamar Capital in 2018.
