Global nutrition company Herbalife has announced the appointment of Vu Van Thang as senior director and general manager for Viet Nam and Cambodia.

He will be responsible for managing the overall business and operations of Herbalife in the two markets and support business growth of Herbalife members.

Based in HCM City, he reports directly to Shobie King, vice president, Southeast Asia.

“We are very pleased to appoint Vu Van Thang to this important position,” King said.

“With Thang’s strong leadership and experience in a variety of business functions with well-established local and international corporations, we believe he will help further strengthen our presence in Viet Nam and Cambodia and take our businesses in this sub-region to the next level.”

Thang said: “We are looking forward to continuously working with all stakeholders to improve nutrition habits in the local communities and fulfill our purpose together with our members.”

He has an MBA in international business and marketing from the US’s Oklahoma City University, and nearly 22 years’ experience in finance, sales and regional and general management roles in the FMCG industry. — VNS
