HDBank has launched a promotion targeting new corporate customers, businesses that refer other businesses to the bank and those that reopen accounts they closed before 2018.

Customers taking part in the programme, which will run until March 31 next year, can have their transaction fees waived up to a certain amount.

The bank will open special accounts and credit the sums to them, and the fees will be automatically deducted from them.

For new businesses, the waiver amount is VND5 million (US$213.9) and for those reopening accounts it is VND3 million.

Businesses introducing new customers will receive VND3 million in their accounts for each of them.

Further waivers are on the cards during upcoming special occasions like the New Year.

Meanwhile, HDBank opened two new branches in Soc Trang Province -- in Nga Nam town and Tran De District -- earlier this week, raising the number of branches in the province to four, and gave gifts to the first customers in the two places.

The lender plans to open 45 new branches around the country this year, and the tally has been nearly 30 in the first half of the year.

The other new branches are in provinces like Tay Ninh, Gia Lai, Thai Nguyen and Hai Phong city. – VNS
