LU, a brand of confectionery producer Mondelez Kinh Do, has been included in the Vietnamese Guinness book of records for creating the tallest Eiffel Tower made of cakes.

The LU cake in the shape of the Eiffel Tower is part of a programme that the brand is carrying out to celebrate Lunar New Year this year and offer customers a taste of French culture in the heart of HCM City.

Located in the VivoCity shopping centre in District 7 in HCM City, the cake tower is 8 metres tall and is made up of more than 101,000 kilogrammes of LU cakes.

It took 70 workers 30 days to finish the tower.

Customers visiting LU’s space in VivoCity will be able to experience a French bakery shop, French coffee shop and French music. The space will be open until the end of this week (January 13).

LU was created in 1846 by Lefèvre và Utile. In Viet Nam, the brand is developed by Mondelez Kinh Do, a member of Mondelēz International.

Modelẽz Vietnam was launched in Viet Nam in July 2015. The company is now the owner of many brands from Viet Nam and around the world such as Kinh Do, Cosy, Solite, AFC, LU, Oreo, Ritz, Slide, Halls, Trident, Cadbury and Toblerone. – VNS
