Gojek said it has resumed their motorbike ride-hailing services in HCM City, giving priority to customers' safety.

Gojek said it had tens of thousands of drivers ready to resume and they meet safety standards, and information about their vaccination status is displayed in its application.

A Gojek representative said that all driver partners are required to comply with the 5K principle and have received two dose of the vaccine after 14 days or have recovered from COVID-19 as prescribed by the authorities. Information about the vaccination status of the driver will be displayed on the Gojek app.

In addition, in order to ensure that all driver partners comply with the wearing of masks, this application also implemented a new feature on the driver-specific app, requiring driver partners to take a photo to confirm wearing. If you wear a mask, you can log in to your account to start the day’s activities. The service also encourages users to adopt cashless payment methods to limit exposure.

The firm is in the process of making a list of vehicles and vehicle drivers that are managing and expected to operate to send to the Department of Transport of HCM City for updating on its website.

BeBike too said it resumed on November 18 with 50 per cent of drivers.

Grab Vietnam said it resumed all GrabCar services and 50 per cent of GrabBike services.

The city's Department of Transport allowed motorbike ride-hailing services to resume with half their complement of drivers.
