Generali Vietnam has presented 500 gifts to disadvantaged child patients at the Vietnam National Children’s Hospital in Ha Noi, the Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital and the Children’s Hospital 2 in HCM City on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Additionally, Generali Vietnam handed over four syringe pumps to the Da Nang General Hospital in support of the city’s COVID-19 prevention efforts. All funds were raised by Generali Vietnam’s staff.

Generali’s executive management team and staff members also prepared and handed out 500 hand-written cards to the young patients. With loving and encouraging messages, these cards were aimed at sending them healing energy, and motivating and providing mental support to the children in their fight against illness.

“We hope that these meaningful gifts and acts of kindness will motivate the children and their families, giving them more strength to overcome their illnesses. We also hope to do a small part to help Da Nang’s doctors, medical staff and people combat COVID-19. Generali Vietnam will continue to organise many other meaningful activities to help spread love and create positive impacts in the community,” said Tina Nguyen, Generali Vietnam CEO.

On this occasion, the company also presented 500 parenting booklets of the “Sinh Con, Sinh Cha” programme to parents and caregivers looking after the child patients. “Sinh Con, Sinh Cha” is a community education programme developed by Generali Vietnam and the National Fund for Vietnamese Children. “Sinh Con, Sinh Cha” offers families with children aged 0 – 6 years parenting knowledge, experience and skills focusing on child health, behaviour and intelligence. The programme is delivered in creative and interesting formats via an online sitcom series and parenting workshops organised in provinces and cities across Viet Nam.

Generali Vietnam currently has a nationwide network of over 60 GenCasa (agency offices) and customer service centres, serving over 300,000 clients. — VNS
