Generali Vietnam Life Insurance LLC and the Italian embassy in Ha Noi have announced the launch of the Song Nhu Y Festival to commemorate Viet Nam – Italy relations.
It will celebrate Italian – Vietnamese friendship and lay the foundation for annual activities to introduce Italian culture to the people of Viet Nam to strengthen people-to-people ties and promote cultural exchanges.
It will be organised in HCM City on December 14 and 15 at the Independence Palace in District 1.
Tina Nguyen, Generali Vietnam CEO, said: “Noticing many similarities between Vietnamese and Italian cultures, we called this festival Song Nhu Y. The phrase has two meanings: ‘Live like an Italian’ [meaning] always valuing family and friends, always being positive and optimistic, taking time to enjoy the simple pleasures in life; and ‘Live the life you desire’ [meaning] being brave and strong to live the life you have always imagined with passion and enthusiasm.”
The event will feature a number of activities and experiences including visiting Italian landmarks in the middle of Saigon, tasting Italian cuisine, watching street carnivals and contemporary dance and music, playing Italian folk games, and experiencing sophisticated technologies showcased by Generali at its Gentech zone.
The highlight will be the Song Nhu Y Music Festival on December 15 featuring popular artists and a dazzling 3D mapping show.
