Geleximco Group and ABBANK will build 200 pre-fabricated houses for police officers in the central, Central Highlands and southern regions, which were badly affected by storms and landslides recently.
There is always a fear of landslides during the rainy season in the minds of people in the central, Central Highlands and south-central provinces.
This year, heavy rains in June and July triggered a number of major landslides, causing severe loss of life and property and disrupting arterial roads.
Officers at district and commune levels in these regions have been facing many difficulties and dangers while working to ensure the safety of residents.
Realising the situation, at a meeting with the Ministry of Public Security’s Department of Construction and Barrack Management in Hà Nội on August 7, Geleximco and ABBANK offered to build for free 200 prefabricated houses for them in the provinces of Đắk Lắk, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Nghệ An, and Bến Tre, and got the green light.
The houses will be completed by December this year. — VNS
