Malaysian real-estate developer Gamuda Land recently presented scholarships to five young Vietnamese talents across the country.
The Gamuda scholarship award 2023 received more than 100 applicants nationwide and after the selection process, five students who meet the scholarship criteria were selected.
“As a responsible developer, we know how quality education remains a privilege for many. This is why Gamuda Land aims to empower talented, economically-disadvantaged students.
For the past 27 years, Gamuda has granted scholarships in Malaysia, and this is the first year it is being extended in Việt Nam. We also wish to now make this an annual programme to continue providing a nurturing platform for future talent in Vietnam," said Angus Liew, chairman of Vietnam operations of Gamuda Land.
The Gamuda Scholarship has been developed by Gamuda Group in Malaysia since 1996, giving wings to young Malaysian talents to pursue their studies locally and globally.
More than just financial aid, the scholarship program provides a holistic platform for a brighter future, and shapes the future of leaders by providing leadership training and job placement within Gamuda.
A Gamuda scholarship is opens to students undergoing their first full-time degree pursuing tertiary studies in engineering, construction management, property and real estate management, architecture, environmental science and sustainability, biodiversity management, finance and accounting, business studies and business administration, and human resource management.
Entering the Vietnamese market since 2007, Gamuda Land is currently the investor of two high-class townships, Gamuda City with a scale of 274 hectares in Hoàng Mai District in Hà Nội and Celadon City with an area of 82 hectares in Tân Phú District, HCM City.
In recent years, the developer has expanded its business activities in Việt Nam by launching new projects. — VNS
