Ford Vietnam will donate the country’s first negative pressure ambulance worth nearly VND2 billon to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases for deployment in the fight against COVID-19.

It is built a Ford Transit platform and is used in many countries.

Ford’s dealership network has adopted safety measures for customers mandated by the authorities.

“The COVID-19 pandemic poses a challenging period for individuals, enterprises and nations across the globe,” Pham Van Dung, general director of Ford Vietnam, said.

“And Ford's business is not outside the whirlpool of those influences. However, we believe that … prioritising the safety of employees, dealers, customers, and partners is the most effective way to overcome this challenge.”

Ford has mobile repair vehicles that can quickly carry out repairs and servicing at customers’ homes. In case that cannot be done or the nearest dealer does not provide that service, customers can choose to have their vehicle picked up by Ford for repairs.

Ford dealers are equipped with disinfection tools and cleaning procedures to ensure all vehicles are clean and safe.

Cashless payment options are available, making the entire process contactless and risk-free.

The company also offers test drives at prospective customers’ houses. — VNS
