ExxonMobil Asia Pacific launched the Ride Your Story photo contest today emphasising the close-knit connection between Vietnamese people and their motorcycles.

The photo contest cherishes the strong bond between Vietnamese and their motorcycles by encouraging consumers to share their stories based on real experiences behind the mileage they have reached. Their stories can be about worry-free road trips to enjoying the best street food and top attractions in the country; or simply an emotional story of a mum dedicating her life to making ends meet with her motorcycle.

The nationwide contest aims to improve community knowledge on the importance of regular maintenance, particularly the value of quality engine oils and different oil types in sustaining healthy and durable motorcycle engines.

People can participate in the contest by going to the company’s Facebook post via this link, leaving a comment with a photo of them with their bike, and telling the story of why they love their bike.

The top four entries will win an all-expenses paid road trip for two around Viet Nam for four days and three nights worth more than US$2,200 each. They will also receive full-service packages for their motorcycles before the trip, and a full one-year supply of Mobil Super Moto products.

Motorcycles have gradually become the norm in Viet Nam since the 1960s. According to recent research commissioned by the National Traffic Safety Committee and the Vietnam Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers, motorcycles would continue to be the main means of transportation in Viet Nam until 2030 and onwards, thanks to their “cheap, fast and flexible” nature.— VNS
