The National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) has announced that the total construction investment value of the corporation is about VND19.23 trillion (US$815 million) this year.

EVNNPT strives to start 35 projects and complete and put into operation 44 power grid projects.

The corporation will focus on ensuring the completion schedule of important projects to improve the capacity of the transmission grid and ensure power supply such as 500kV Nho Quan – Phu Ly – Thuong Tin transmission line; lines connecting 500 kV Duc Hoa, Chon Thanh, and Long Thanh substations; and 220 kV Chon Thanh – Ben Cat transmission line.

EVNNPT will also focus on ensuring the progress of connection works, releasing the capacity of power sources; connection lines to release capacity of Nhon Trach 3, 4 thermal power plants; works for capacity release of renewable energy sources; and works for capacity release of hydropower sources in the northwest region and for purchasing electricity from Laos. — VNS
