Ericsson appoints Rita Mokbel as Head of Ericsson Vietnam

Ericsson on Monday announced the appointment of Rita Mokbel as Head of Ericsson Vietnam. In this new role, Rita will be responsible for driving the company’s business and overseeing its operations in Việt Nam.

In addition, Rita will continue with her role as the Head of Global Customer Unit Telenor, supporting the Telenor Group in its transformation journey. Rita continues to be a member of the regional executive leadership team of Ericsson Southeast Asia, Oceania and India.

With over 14 years at Ericsson in both regional and global senior leadership roles, Rita has demonstrated experience in general management, strategy, sales, business development, operations management, and technology consultation. She has successfully navigated diverse stakeholders such as communication service providers, governments and enterprises across continents such as Europe, Asia, Africa, and America, each with distinct challenges and needs. Her ability to spearhead complex digital transformations, revitalise business accounts, and architect significant growth showcases her adaptability and strategic foresight.

In terms of her academic qualifications, Rita holds a PhD in Financial Engineering, alongside a master’s degree in telecommunications engineering and a second master’s degree in modelling and computer simulation. She also holds executive programme certifications from globally renowned institutions like Oxford and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with specialisations in Fintech and Artificial Intelligence.

Rita is also a member of Rise Tide Europe and Seeders, LWAF, esteemed groups of business angels with a mission to catalyse innovation and fortify the entrepreneurship ecosystem. — VNS
