Kindermusik Vietnam, an educational music programme for children, was launched on Friday at the SOUL Music & Performing Arts Academy in HCM City.

The programme has been brought to Việt Nam by the Asia Music & Performing Arts Education (AMPA Education).

"We are thrilled to be able to grow the programme in Viet Nam," Scott Kinsey, president and CEO of Kindermusik International, said.

"The brand’s 40-year history and industry leadership provide a solid foundation for Kindermusik’s expansion."

AMPA Education is the exclusive representative of Kindermusik in Viet Nam, and seeks to offer creative education for children, especially in the early stages of their life.

The programme offers developmentally specific music classes for children from the time they are born to age seven. The programme is based on research by experts who have demonstrated the benefits of music on a child’s brain development.

Kindermusik especially encourages parental involvement in the classroom to develop good family connections.

After class, online support is available through Kindermusik Home tools in the form of songs, stories and educational games for parents to learn and play with their children at home.

On Saturday morning at SMPAA, through activities such as experiential classes and an interactive talk-show, Kindermusik’s international representatives and leading Vietnamese experts in the field of early childhood education explored many interesting items based on the topic “Are the arts just as important as maths/science?”

Kindermusik was established in 1978 and operates in over 60 countries. – VNS
