DKSH Business Unit Technology opened a demonstration lab at Nguyễn Tất Thành University’s District 9 Campus in HCM City on March 14.

This marks a significant milestone as it is the first demonstration lab in Viêt Nam to be equipped with the Leica confocal, a high-end confocal microscope from Leica Microsystems.

Beyond enhancing the experience for Vietnamese customers with state-of-the-art facilities, this new laboratory also serves academic purposes at the university.

The laboratory is equipped with instruments from various global brands that can be applied in various industries like pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, life science, research, testing labs, and mining.

The Leica confocal is a microscope used for cutting-edge biomedical research that provides imaging precision for subcellular structures and dynamic processes.

The lab is also part of a collaboration with Nguyễn Tất Thành University to cultivate educational opportunities and nurture a new generation in science and technology.

Dr Wesley Chen, head of sales, microscopy, SEA & Taiwan, representative of Leica Microsystems, said: "We are excited to join forces with DKSH's Business Unit Technology in Viêt Nam as part of their new demonstration lab. This strategic partnership promises to provide a great platform for businesses and academia to access up-to-date science equipment."

Robert Puschmann, managing director, business unit technology, DKSH Singapore, Malaysia, and Viêt Nam, said: "This upgraded laboratory demonstrates our commitment to market development and community contribution as an integrated science solutions provider.

“We believe that by granting access to cutting-edge technologies through the demonstration lab, we can offer the best experiences to customers while also fostering the next generation of scientists through education with our partners, Leica Microsystems and Nguyễn Tất Thành University." — VNS
