Đạt Phương Glass JSC, a subsidiary of Đạt Phương Group, has signed a contract with China Triumph International Engineering Co (CTIEC) for supplying and installing equipment for its super white glass production plant.
The contract, worth US$45 million, marks a significant step in Đạt Phương's strategic development as it enters the industrial glass product sector, particularly in the production of solar panel glass.
The company's first super white glass production plant will have a capacity of 400 tonnes per day, which is expected to triple in the second phase.
The plant will be developed in the central province of Thừa Thiên-Huế where it has received an investment licence from the provincial People's Committee. The plant's construction is expected to start in the first quarter of next year and be completed in 2026, tapchicongthuong.vn reported.
Once operational, the plant will earn a revenue of VNĐ1.5-2 trillion each year, the online newspaper cited a representative from the group as saying.
In his speech at the signing ceremony last week, Lương Minh Tuấn, chairman of Đạt Phương Group's Board of Directors, expressed confidence in the project's potential and pledged to deliver high-quality products to the market, in line with international standards.
With the support of reputable partners, Đạt Phương said it is confident in the success of the super white glass production plant. This marks a crucial step in the group's mission, contributing to sustainable development and the use of renewable energy sources.
