Dai-ichi Life Vietnam on January 17 received the Labour Order, third class, for its business achievements and community contributions, especially to organising and funding programmes to support poor patients.

Vice President Dang Thị Ngoc Thinh conferred the honour on the chairman of Dai-ichi Life International Asia Pacific and its Vietnamese subsidiary, Takashi Fujii.

Speaking at the award ceremony in HCM City, Fujii said, “Today is a very special day, full of pride and significance … [for] Dai-ichi Life Vietnam.

"We continue to commit ourselves to bring the best value to our customers and partners.”

Also at the ceremony, the company’s For a Better Life Fund presented a cheque worth VND1 billion (US$44,050) to the National Fund for Vietnamese Children to implement programmes to support deprived children in 2018 and 2019.

After 11 years of operations Dai-ichi Life Vietnam has grown by more than 10 times in terms of premium income and maintained its position as one of the leading life insurance companies in Việt Nam.

Its premium income topped over VND8 trillion last year, ranking the company third in the market, and giving it a 12 per cent market share.
