The Thai-invested CP Vietnam Corporation will begin exporting processed poultry products to Asia and Europe in the second quarter of 2020, with a volume estimated at 3,000 tonnes per month, according to the firm.

To achieve this goal, the company has established its CPV Food Co, Ltd at the Becamex Binh Phuoc Industrial Park in the southern province of Binh Phuoc.

In the first phase of this project from 2019-23, the company will develop a closed-chain production line to breed, raise and slaughter chickens as well as processing final products.

The project will include an animal feed plant to produce 300,000 tonnes of feed annually and five farms producing breeding chicken with a total capacity of 53.6 million chicks each year. The first breeding chickens are expected to be sent to farms this July.

CP Vietnam Corporation will also construct 21 meat chicken farms capable of raising 52 million chicks a year. A slaughterhouse and processing plant is under construction to make 116,000 tonnes of poultry meat, 36,000 tonnes of processed poultry meat and 2,100 tonnes of feather meal per year. — VNS
