Co.opmart to say $6.74m worth of thanks to customers

HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — On the occasion of Saigon Co-op, which runs the Co.opmart supermarket chain, this year becoming the first retailer from Viet Nam to be recognised as one of the top 200 in the Asia-Pacific, Co.opmart will spend VND150 billion on a promotion programme to be held at all its outlets for 23 days starting on November 7 to say thanks to its customers.

Six promotion programmes to say thanks to customers

From November 7 to 29, under the theme "Sincerely thank customers", Co.opmart and Co.opXtra systems will offer discounts of up to 50 per cent on over 3,000 essential products, including fruits, vegetables, cooking oil, shampoo, glass oven and fashion stuff.

"Gratitude Gifts" will offer hundreds of thousands of gifts to customers based on purchase value.

In addition, thousands of products will be sold at just VND1,000, VND3,000, VND4,000 each under the special prices programme.

Saigon Co-op, 1st Vietnamese retailer to make it to Asia-Pacific top 200

Late last week Retail Asia Publishing held a function to award prizes to the winners of the 2015 Top 500 Retailers in Asia-Pacific.

Saigon Co.op won the gold award for the top retailer in Viet Nam, and was also the first representative from Viet Nam to make it to the list of Top 200 Asia-Pacific retailers in the 12-year history of the awards. — VNS

Co.opmart and Co.opXtra system will also gift more than 600,000 coupons worth VND30,000-90,000 to customers under two programmes "Shopping delight - Increasing benefits" and "Co-branded cards, adding millions of fun".

Under the "Buy more-Great incentives" programme, the more customers buy of certain products, the more discounts they will get.

From November 7 to 9 during the "Sincerely thank customers" promotion month, Co.opmart and Co.opXtra nationwide will launch a programme called Gia dac biet (Special prices) to offer products like monosodium glutamate, fish sauce, and condensed milk at only VND1,000 –VND4,000 to customers buying for VND400,000 or more.

On Saturday (November 7): Lix detergent 6 kilo reduced by VND72,500, Downy softener reduced by VND46,500, Head&Shoulder shampoo 625ml reduced by VND46,000.

On Sunday (November 8): Jasmine rice 5 kg reduced by VND37,000, two bottles of 1L Co.opmart vegetable oil reduced by VND30,100d, Co.opmart mops by VND170,900, and so on.

On Monday (9/11): Ajinomoto 454g pack reduced by VND28,500d and sold at just VND1,000, Chinsu sauce 500ml bottle reduced by VND30,900 and sold at just VND1,000, 2 boxes of 380g condensed milk reduced by VND29,600 and sold at only VND4,000...

As indicated above, these prices will apply for customers buying for a minimum of VND400,000. — VNS
