With only a few days left to avail the big discounts offered during the ‘Grateful for millions of emotions’ month to thank customers at Co.opmart and Co.opXtra supermarkets, people have been rushing to hunt the best-priced products at the start of this week.

A representative of Saigon Co.op, the owner of Co.opmart and Co.opXtra supermarket systems, said sales increased sharply from normal days during the promotion month, indicating that consumers have strongly supported the programme.

So, for the last three days of the programme, Co.opmart and Co.opXtra will keep adding products to their shelves, and offer huge discounts on many additional products.

From now until the end of November 25, in addition to essential products that are discounted by up to 50 per cent, nearly 50 products including minced pork and pork skin paste, instant coffee, fresh milk, biscuits, wet tissues, detergents, fabric softeners, shampoos, and ceramic pots are sold at never before seen discounts under the ‘Buy more, get more discounts’ programme.

Many items such as Net dishwashing liquid have “shock” prices of zero dong, while a 100-piece pack of Nuna wet tissue and Wall’s Topten ice cream are sold at VND1,000 each.

Stores are needing to constantly add goods to their shelves to meet customers' demand.

Besides, Saigon Co.op silver/gold/platinum members will get three to five times the usual reward points when they buy beer, and dairy products from Beck's Ice, Heineken, Ensure, and FCV.

For instance, they will get three times the usual points on 500ml Budweiser beer cans, four times the points on 330ml Heineken 0.0 (zero-alcohol beer) cans and Friso 4 formulated milk powder and five times the points on Ensure Gold / a 850g tin of coffee.

There are also three days left for customers who have a Saigon Co-op membership card to collect emoticons and receive gifts on the Saigon Co.op app.
