HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Co.opmart and Co.opXtra supermarkets across the country are overflowing with a wide range of products for the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet Binh Than 2016).
Besides increasing stocks by many times, Co.opmart and Co.opXtra are also offering steep discounts on most items ranging from fresh foods and Tet gift hampers to household utensils and fashion products for both adults and children.
Both Co.opmart and Co.opXtra have rolled out various promotion programmes such as selling products at cost, selling many different items at one price and discounts of up to 50 per cent on thousands of products, which is causing them to be packed with customers even in the afternoons, especially during weekends.

Vo Hoang Anh, marketing director of Saigon Co.op – which owns the two supermarkets -- said until Tet Co.opmart and Co.opXtra would co-ordinate with suppliers to keep offering the largest possible discounts, with two or three promotions every day on average, to enable consumers to shop most economically for Tet.
Tet-related items like gift hampers, cakes, candies, Chinese sausages, Yellow Label tea, decorative items, artificial apricot trees, envelopes for "lucky money" and others are displayed on a large scale and at convenient spots in the supermarkets and mostly sold at discounted prices. — VNS
