Chinese carrier Colorful Guizhou Airlines has launched a direct air route between Guiyang city (China) and Hà Nội, making Việt Nam's capital their first international destination.
The Guiyang-Hà Nội route will operate with a frequency of three round-trip flights per week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, using Airbus A320 aircrafts.
The journey from Hà Nội to Guiyang will now take only about two hours with the new direct flights, instead of 12 hours by road like before.
Established in 2015, Colorful Guizhou Airlines is headquartered in Guiyang, Guizhou. The company owns 20 aircraft, including the Embraer E190 and Airbus A320 models.
With Hà Nội chosen as their first international destination, the new direct flights will make it easier for tourists from Guizhou to visit Việt Nam’s capital city and northern provinces nearby. They also offer more short holiday options for Hà Nội residents.
After only a two-hour flight, travellers can visit Xijiang Miao Village – the largest Miao village in China, explore Jiaxiu Tower – an iconic structure of more than 400-year-old situated on a small island on Nanming River; and admire the Huangguoshu Waterfall, which is considered one of China’s most beautiful waterfalls. — VNS
